Marjorie Fitzgibbon's first career as an actress made her a star both on Broadway and in Hollywood in the 1950s, before her friend and fellow thespian Micheál Mac Liammóir encouraged her to follow a passion for sculpture. She also sculpted a Joyce bust in St Stephen’s Green.
