Eilis O’Connell RHA, one of RHA’s foremost sculptors, partook in this experimental format, developed in partnership with Niall Ó hOisín and Noho, with six of her existing, physical, sculptural works, sited in Wilton Park since February 2021, for the public to view through the medium of augmented reality.
Augmented reality is an interactive experience that allows one to place an object in a specific location, virtually via a smartphone or tablet. To access the experience, the public can download and install the “WPAR” app (available in the App Store and Google Play), and explore the digital representations of these sculptural works in the park.
For more information on Six Works – Augmented Reality, and notes on the experience by Patrick T. Murphy, visit RHA’s website here.
