Michael Bulfin, 1975

Located at the former Bank of Ireland building, Baggot Street, Dublin 2

Michael Bulfin’s striking yellow abstract form won a competition to be placed on Miesian Plaza (itself informed by Scott Tallon Walker’s adoration of Mies van der Rohe). Its study of contrasting form and angles is beloved not just of aficionados of modernism, but also the city’s skateboarding community.
